The River of Darkness

Through the vast experiences of life, one often naturally and carelessly flows with the river. Although admittedly, It's not as if not flowing is particularly more favorable at any given time, (I mean, is going against the grain ever easy?) but it's more of an awareness thing. Are the individual water molecules that comprise the ocean aware of their own vapidity and excessive rapidity relative to the larger body? Conversely can that body exercise true autonomy over individual appendages in it's constituency? Maybe a better metaphor for this are bees:

Are bees themselves free to individually reject providing maintenance and sustenance to their hives? If we look at any system and break it down to its smallest bodies, sometimes it's peculiar what we find. On a purely philosophical level, it seems that our programming, whether by nature or nurture as existing objects predicates such a necessarily particular set of actions for us, often under the pretext that we just "ought to move."

And not just that, but that there EXISTS, actually some force that compels us to not go back in the "wrong direction," as if there is some innate direction we should flow. I would argue many have their eyes closed and couldn't tell you which way they are heading; many flow through the River of Darkness:

Beyond the material "coagulation" of purity and sediment belays a curious ethereal regulation of social standards and "etiquette." Except, it's a layered game of forever naïve, fearful, and ignorant people; it's a wayward train of clever, cunning, and seductive evil.

This "evil" I speak of is no more than the forces of self oppression, self destruction, and perpetuation of cycles of hate, this state of possession is slow for some, but will consume all but none if allowed to suppress the soul and matriculate.

But wait? What does this look like? The river of darkness will show you a look-alike to test your perception of what's real and potentially much less so....such stress whoa haha, and why this test....? Why, Why, Why?

Haha so really it's all a matter of perspective, but water sure does turn dark as you head away from the sun doesn't it. Some small voice whispers deep in the mind that you should follow your own path, even if that means traveling upstream to where you feel like you are supposed to be. So resist, fight? Sure, but there are times for those things too, for now–

–find the light again ;)
